Boudoir Believer / Tacoma Boudoir Photographer

Updated: Mar 27, 2018

I believe in boudoir photography. That is a somewhat obvious statement since I offer the service. But my stance goes deeper.

In the age of social media, it is easy to have an unhealthy idea of what, as a woman, we should look and be like. The comparison game is a dangerous one. When you are constantly bombarded by the highlight reels of other's lives and perfected versions of people's looks it becomes second nature to doubt your own beauty and happiness.

Regardless of who you are or what phase of life you are in, loving who you are right now is important. Not who you want to be, not who you're working on being, but you. RIGHT NOW. AS IS. It's something that is easier said than done.

Boudoir photography is an amazing way to celebrate you. The current you.

You will probably feel silly posing. But that is okay, laughing makes for good photography. You may even be sore after, girlfriend we WERKKKK. But what I know for sure, is that it is empowering. It allows you to see yourself in a new, beautiful way. And we ALL deserve that.

The session below is of my sister-in-law. She is a mother to three, a fabulous hair dresser, and amazing homemaker. She was a bit nervous to do this session, but trusted me to help her through it. When I showed her some of the sneak peeks, part of her response really resonated with me. She said that 'it's hard to see yourself as anything other than a Mama sometimes.'

Being a mom is important work. But it isn't always glamorous work. I think it's safe to say this is one BEAUTIFUL Mama. My brother is a lucky man.

XOXO
